Ed Koch, former three term NYC mayor is dead. Koch was admitted to hospital several times in the last few weeks for various health issues including respiratory illnesses. Koch died last night after being admitted to Presbyterian-Colombia Hospital.

Gays in Africa are going through hell as you read this, but there is some good news coming out of Cameroon: two men were acquitted by an appeals court Monday after they were arrested and tried for looking gay while ordering Baileys Irish Cream in a bar.The men were originally sentenced to five years in prison.

Since coming out, Cruz, who said he discovered he was gay at the age of 19 after competing in the 2000 Sidney Olympics, and who is also the only out gay boxer in pro sports, has received mostly positive support in the sport and beyond.
