With the couture shows wrapping up in Paris this week its only right that the movable feast for the eyes should head to the Palais De Tokyo where Net-a-Porter, the arbiter of style and chic, will unveil its latest and greatest collobaration in the form of Art Capsul, their ongoing art-meets-fashion capsule collection curated by New York National Arts Club curator Stacy Engman.
Engman, known for her sophistication and style as well as her keen eye for launching fanstastic exhibitions, has put together a group show of artists who created exclusive made-to-order garments for Net-A-Porter.com.
Artists tapped for the capsule collection, hitting the web in July, include George Condo, Terence Koh, Vik Muniz, Marina Abramovic and Mickalene Thomas who wowed Art Basel Switzerland with her own group show and party “Better Days” three weeks ago.
We wonder what Engman will wear to the opening tonight! Vivienne Westwood? Christian Louboutin? Whatever she decides, we’re certain she will turn heads like Koh (fond of pearls), Condo (enamored with screen prints), Ambromvic (a gold leaf fanatic), Muniz (photo enthusiast) and Thomas who is wild about prints and Swarovski crystals.
