MAMMY EARRINGS. I’m too tired to express my disdain about Dolce and Gabbana’s use of racist and debasing images of black folks as accessories for Spring 2013 in Milan this week.

Those guys are wealthy and have access to information about stereotypes and the colonization black folks on the planet. Their lack of tact and sensitivity only proves what we’ve suspected: they only care about themselves.

Burlap dresses with plantation imagery could only appeal to the uneducated and the deluded in fashion. The designers sent down a truckload of white women wearing images of black women on their persons. Not one model was black. What does that tell you?
