RECAP: TONY PERALTA’S A BLACK SEASON AFFAIR LAUNCH (PHOTOS)

This Wednesday Washington Heights based artist M.Tony Peralta launched A Black Season Affair, his latest project, to a packed house at Apt178 Lounge, selling out limited edition tees, posters, snapback caps and other items. Friends, well-wishers and supporters of Peralta sipped on cocktails flavored with Hennessy as a DJ spun, and while a looped video of his collaboration with Feed The Rats occupied a wall. FLY YANKEES BALLER ROBINSON CANO BECOMES US CITIZEN (PHOTOS)

Handsome Yankees second base player Robinson Cano is now a US citizen! The Dominican Republic born baseball player, 30, was sworn in yesterday after recently re-upping with the Yankees, signing a one year $15 million contract.

OUT PRO BOXER ORLANDO CRUZ GETS PERSONAL IN REVEALING DER SPIEGEL INTERVIEW (DETAILS)

Orlando Cruz, the Puerto Rican boxer who came out the closet last month, sat for an interview with German publication Der Spiegel, published yesterday.  Since coming out, Cruz, who said he discovered he was gay at the age of 19 after competing in the 2000 Sidney Olympics, and who is also the only out gay boxer in pro sports, has received mostly positive support in the sport and beyond. PUERTO RICAN MODEL JOAN SMALLER NAMED NO.1 MODEL IN THE WORLD (PHOTOS)

Puerto Rican model Joan Smalls was named Numero Uno in the world of fashion last week by Models.com, beating out Jourdan Dunk, Anais Mali and scores of other women of color. In fact, Smalls was the only black model on the Top 50 list.
