NY Knick Tyson Chandler was missing from our round-up of athletes who attended the annual fashion fest known as the Met Ball yesterday. Last night the Defensive Player of the Year, a first in NY Knicks history, took to Twitter and thanked designer Waraire Boswell for his impeccable suit.
“Saw that Vogue listed me as 1 of the Best Dressed at the Met, I would like to thank @WaraireBoswell for making me such an incredible suit. — Tyson Chandler (@tysonchandler),” Chandler tweeted. The instagram above was linked to his Tweet. Chandler’s wife Kimberly is wearing Valentino. Both were personally invited to the Gala by Anna Wintour.
This isn’t the first time Chandler was dressed by Boswell, a Californian, 80s baby and 2005 Winner of Mercedes Benz Classic Designer of The Year Award. Boswell, who also dresses athletes and celebrities since creating his own clothes in 1999, fitted Chandler for the 19th Annual Espy Awards last year. Kobe Bryant, Hank Baskett, and Oliver Stone, to name three, have all worn his custom suits.
I really like how the lines flow on his suits for Chandler, who seems to have the longest arms in the NBA. That’s probably just Boswell’s suits and coats talking though.
